Steps to becoming a land owner.
For any first-time buyer of land or a home, the risks and fears are usually very unnerving.
NEST UGANDA is here to offer a few guiding steps as your partner in this process.
STEP 1: VISIT THE SITE
The first step you need to take when purchasing or acquiring land is a visit to the site and verify if the plot you are buying exists. Our team of agents will help you book an appointment in your desired location at a time of your convenience.
This visit will help you appreciate the neighbourhood, the geography, and other preferred features, therefore it is critical that you remain observant and ask as many questions about the surroundings.
STEP 2: USE A PROFESSIONAL SURVEYOR
Get a professional registered surveyor with our NEST consultants to carry out a topographic survey of the land and confirm to you the size and shape as indicated on the title.
Verify the property size before executing the acquisition of the land title.
The surveyor will also identify the land boundaries and mark stones and issue a survey report in that respect to avoid future conflicts with the neighbours.
STEP 3: PAYMENT OF LAND TITLE
With a Save & Build Account, the payment of the land and would be the nominal prepayments made and the discounts earned over the years. In case you require a top up, the facility can be arranged with our team. The land documentation and transfer fees for members will be exclusively handled by our team.
We will present a clearance certificate for the land before it is transferred including the original land title, transfer documents if any, and consent to transfer. These documents will only be accomplished following an issued consent to transfer by the commissioner of lands.
STEP 4: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
With a valid land title, you can now look to building your dream home
